Special flights have been set up by Pakistan International Airlnes (PIA) from Islamabad to Copenhagen on April 8 and Oslo on April 9 respectively.
According to a statement appeared on website of Norwegian Embassy in Islamabad, this step is not for reopening of the regular flights but it is a special arrangement.
The statement said, tickets can be ordered at https://www.piac.com.pk/ from April 4 at 18.00 (Pakistani time).
The statement added, this is not a reopening of regular scheduled services and it is uncertain when the next flights from Pakistan to Norway and Denmark will take place. Norwegian travelers in Pakistan are therefore encouraged to take advantage of this offer.
Both departures have flight number PK 751 and departure time at 11:00.
The embassy said, travelers must organize their own transport to Islamabad airport. If you contact the embassy, we can send you a letter that we have prepared a letter in support of Norwegian citizens in Pakistan who have a valid air ticket for travelling out of the country. So that they could not face any obstacles on their way to the airport.
Please note that you must have a valid flight check-in and passport. Only persons with Norwegian citizenship or a valid residence permit in Norway will be able to check in on the aircraft, the statement said.
It is also important to mention that there is health screening at the airport and people who have symptoms of Covid-19 (coronavirus) will unfortunately be denied boarding. .
It is also mentioned in the statement that further transport to destination in Norway must be organized on its own. In accordance with current regulations, everyone who comes to Norway from abroad must be quarantined for 14 days.
